iPlayer on the iPhone

iPlayer DownloaderTelevision is literally everywhere these days. Gone are the days where you came home to watch four channels on your 21" CRT Television, now we have hundreds of channels, 50" widescreen Plasma or LCD Hi-Definition televisions, television on our computers, laptops and portable devices and now even on our mobile phones thanks largely to the BBC's iPlayer. The iPhone though is restricted to only being able to stream programs from iPlayer which basically restricts you to only doing this when you have a Wi-Fi connection. Until now.

iPhone 3G

iPhone 3G Back in October 2007 I wrote about the trouble I had in buying a new mobile phone from an O2 shop. The phone I was trying to buy at that time was the Sony Ericsson W810i which, for it's time, I thought was a pretty good phone - at least for my needs it was. 18 months later and my needs have changed and the W810i is no longer really up to the task and the screen is heavily scratched.

Freecom Lightscribe Drive

Freecom DriveLike a lot of people I do burn quite a lot of DVD's. Many of these are backups of photos and other files whilst others are DVD movies that I've created in iMovie and whilst the iMac's Superdrive is a pretty good drive the one big problem I have with it and with almost all burners is labelling.

Airport Express

airport_express.jpgSince I bought my Mac I've become more and more a fan of Itunes. I used to have iTunes on my old PC but I only bought a few MP3 files and only ever got around to ripping a handful of tracks from my CD's. However now that I'm using a Mac and the way iTunes beautifully interfaces with various Mac applications and the fact that iTunes just seems to work better on the Mac then it did on the PC, I have really fallen in love with it.
