Bargain Memory Cards And Avoiding The Fakes

Whilst moving house I seem to have lost one of my memory cards, a Sandisk 1GB Ultra II, so I've been looking to replace it. In the past I would normally have just gone to Ebay to pick up a bargin but these days the vast majority of all cards on Ebay are fakes which either don't offer the performance of the card they are meant to be, are not of the stated capacity, are not as reliable or all three! In 99% of these cases the cause of these black marks is simply dust on the sensor. Even if you don't currently have any marks on your photos there is still a very good chance that you have dust on your sensor too. To see if you have try this simple test.

This thread was started by Ben Birchall who is the Technique Editor at the magazine and the person who typically runs the readers day and it was in this thread that I said that I would like help on how to photograph forests.
